There seems to be a movement towards ‘Glamping‘ happening. For some of you out there who quickly need brought up to speed – Glamping means ‘Glamorous Camping‘ – where tents have been swapped for luxurious wooden framed Yurts or something similar and usually have some form of heating. These ‘glamping tents’ come decked out with all types of modern electricity devices plus a King-Size Airbed and even have a washing tub or basin – hence why the word ‘glamping‘ usually sends a shiver down most outdoor enthusiasts.

Hands-up who’ll be spending some time out in the ‘Great Outdoors‘ during the Summer months? Quite a lot of you I’d imagine. There’s plenty going on as we enter into festival season – we’ve got music festivals galore, VW bug festivals, folk festivals and even drinking festivals. Perhaps you’re even going to the Euro’s this Summer? Or the London Olympics.
Most of the time our fingers are crossed we’ll get a decent Summer. If you’re camping out under the stars, or possibly grey skies, then you can appreciate what a good night sleep brings. It sets you up for the day ahead and you’ll enjoy the experience even more instead of yawning your head off throughout the day.

I grew up in a period of strikes, rising unemployment and everybody was mainly skint. Not that much different really to what folk are experiencing just now.
